NOTE: To all of my friends in the flying community, this domain name was scheduled to expire on 1-2009 but I have renewed it for another year. If you are a seller and would like to have something (i.e. powered parachutes, trikes, para-gliders, trailers, fixed wing ultralights, etc.) listed here just drop me a note along with a picture of the item and I will try to get it in as soon as I can. Please include the "class" of your unit, ELSA, SLSA, Experimental, FAR103, GA, etc.

This page takes some time to load depending on the number of pictures involved. Everyone likes images with lots of resolution and color. Please be patient.
I purposely have retained the ads from "Sold" units on the SOLD page so that people can see how the market is running. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on how the market is going to respond to the new LSA rules for manufacturers. The prices that were advertised last year or two years ago may not reflect the prices of today. Some used units will not be able to pass the FAAs "Airworthiness" inspection and will only be sold as parts. The other units, that are N-numbered aircraft, will undoubtedly have higher prices as the retail prices rise due to the LSA manufacturing regulations. Most units on the"For Sale" page, will have "n-number" planes or "FAR103" listed. Any unit without an n-number or FAR 103 listed should be considered "parts".

I recently recieved a call from a buyer who was unhappy about his "deal". Apparently the main rails needed replacing. His reason for buying this particular unit was that he "saved" $3,000. How many of us are thinging about how much we saved when we're looking down from 5,000 feet AGL? Let me say again that all sales are strictly between the buyer and seller. I only list the ads and have nothing to do with the sales.

A notice from the EAA web site concerning "ultralights":
Before you buy, EAA's Ultralight Council suggests you contact a local ultralight enthusiast for some valuable advice. Start with your nearest EAA Ultralight Chapter. ASC and USUA clubs have a wealth of knowledge they will share with you ... just ask!  Look for a dealer that not only offers a good product, but training, too. Some manufacturers offer comprehensive flight training or can, at least, introduce you to a flight instructor operating under an FAA exemption for two-place training.
Don't be fooled into buying a two-seater thinking it's an ultralight!
You may end up owning an experimental aircraft that can be flown only by an FAA-licensed pilot. The FAA considers two-seaters to be airplanes that don't fall under the Part 103 ultralight regulations. The only exception is for ultralight instruction properly authorized ultralight flight instructors can fly a two-place ultralight for the purpose of flight instruction. Learn about becoming an ultralight flight instructor. If you're interested in buying or building a two-place aircraft, EAA will gladly send you the information needed to operate it legally. EAA can also help you find an FAA-certified Flight Instructor who will work with you to obtain an FAA pilot license, such as the simpler recreational license. The only exception is two-seat ultralight trainers operated by ultralight instructors operating under a two place training exemption.
